Mozilla pulls the plug on 'Metro' mode Firefox browser for Windows 8

Mozilla is abandoning its plans to release a touch-friendly version of its Firefox web browser for Windows 8 users. The company first revealed experimental support for Firefox in "Metro" mode back inOctober of 2012, and development has continued since then — though a stable version has never shipped.
Firefox Vice President Johnathan Nightingale says in a blog post that "we have to pick our battles," and a lack of demand for "Metro" mode support led to the decision.
